We are a year round swimming instruction facility committed to developing a swimming culture in the Pearland/Northern Brazoria County area. Pearland Swim Academy is owned and operated by Juan Caraveo and David Parker. They established the company with the vision of building a swimming foundation in Pearland that provides the community with the opportunity to not only learn to swim, but to develop a life long enthusiasm for swimming and all the benefits that follow. For more information, please review our Living Magazine Cover Story February 2008 Pearland Swim Academy Curriculum Pearland Swim Academy offers quality swim instruction for ages 6 months and up. Our staff is trained in the PSA Curriculum, First Aid and CPR. The PSA Curriculum, developed by Coach Juan Caraveo, is skills based toward achieving survival competency with our Water Strong Certification then continues through stroke development and pre-competetive training. Our approach is FIRM, FAIR & FUN in a nurturing environment focusing on individual developmental needs. The curriculum requires master of skill sets prior to advancement to the next level. How it works Please arrive 10 minutes before your class time starts. Parents will sign in and take their children to the staging area. When class begins, coaches will lead the students to the pool and parents will proceed to the viewing area. At the end of the class, coaches will lead students to the viewing area to meet their parents. About our facility Our facility offers the optimal learning environment for swim instruction. The pool is indoor and heated to 90 degrees using a saltwater system (as opposed to chlorine). This saltwater system has proven to be better for young skin and air quality. Classes may be held in any type of weather. Our observation area is climate controlled with viewing monitors. Swimmers and Coaches are able to focus on the skills while parents can see and hear the entire class in the air conditioned room. The observation room is also designed to entertain siblings during class time. Additionally, the facility has bathrooms, changing stalls, and a baby changing table for your convenience.
